Rating by category:
It was comfortable and fairly reasonable compared with other Gettysburg hotels. The breakfast was nice and saved time and money. It's in walking distance of several restaurants and museums in the town.
The Inn was friendly and convenient. We were given a smoking room which I accidently booked. Please make non smoking your default setting. So the room smelled like the Elks lodge which was unpleasant and we left the room door open a lot. The bathroom was nice and clean as was the room except for the odor. We would stay here again in a non smoking room. The breakfast was nice with lots of options.
Smoking in the hotel rooms should be eliminated.
A great location for tours, shopping, and dinning
Bottomless coffee pot in lobby, breakfast was almost resturant like
SErvice, cleanliness, location, atmoshere.
Nice hotel close to the main attractions and museum in town
It was centrally located! Everything we wanted to see was either right there or very close by! All of the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. I loved my stay here and plan to make it an anual event!
Loved the fact it was within walking distance to shops. Had a very wonderful dinner experience at the nearby Dobbin House Tavern, which was recommended by the hotel clerk. Very close to the Gettysburg Visitor Center and battlefields. Hotel was very clean and the room clean and pleasant. Staff was very helpful and courteous, and parking was available. Would definitely return!
The location for the Battlefield, Visitor Centre, National Cemetery and the downtown area is excellent.
The hotel is a little tired and in need of modernising. The breakfast facilities are rather basic and a little crowded at peak times.
the proximity of gettysburg downtown and battlefield
rather noisy and airco makes a lot of noise so we had to shut it off in order to sleep
The mattresses were great, the location was excellent everything in walking distance.
The pillows needs improvement not very comfortable and the parking lots could be a little bigger my car that night I stayed there someone scratched my car door and put dent on it not very happy that
The rooms were clean and did not have that closed up smell. The hotel was in the middle of town we wakled everywhere that was of interest to us. I will stay there again.
Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. The location is excellent and truly is within walking distance of many attractions. Everything was neat and clean and the day we chose not to have cleaning service, a very nice cleaning lady left a mesage on the room phone telling us if we needed anything, just to call the front desk. The breakfast was also very good and had a nice selection each day. We are planning another trip to Gettysburg and will plan on staying at the 1863 Inn of Gettysburg.
The location, the breakfast, the staff at the desk was very nice and helpful. The bathroom was very large
The housekeeping staff starts their rounds very early and can be a bit noisy.
Its a pet friendly hotel Helpful staff Quiet
Tha matress was too soft.
The hotel was grand but with a not grand price. The room was very clean and the king bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than we expected. They had more items and choices than other hotels serve. The coffee was fantastic. I did not bring my dogs this trip, but I read that pets are allowed. The 1863 Inn of Gettysburg is added to my list of hotels to stay in the future.
